1986 Fiero won't start

We are trying to start an 86 Fiero. We replaced the ignition coil because it was not getting fire. We have a new fuel injector in there - at least it was new when we put it in several years ago. We have not run it regularly since then. Now, it acts like it wants to start, but won't. Poured gas down the throttle and it will act like it wants to start for about 1 - 2 seconds. Any thoughts?

Bad fuel pump?? That was my problem.

Can you see fuel being sprayed into the throttle body while cranking it over? Is is a 4 or 6? If there's no spray in the throttle body, unhook the gas line at the fuel filter and have someone crank it. If you have no gas, its probably the pump, which is in the tank. Not a real hard job, but can be messy. Hope that helps. Let me know how it turns out.

Its a 4 and I believe after we did what you said, we did see gas at the filter. I did not remember seeing it come out of the injector.
