front bumber question

hey, i just got into an accident with my 01 ZTS and the front bumber is cracked pretty bad. the thing is i can't get it fixed until the insurance compainies figure out whose at fault for my accident. the crack is getting bigger and i'm afraid anything that could be repaired may need to be replaced. so heres my question, will it hurt anything if i just take the bumper off, FYI its the lower part of the front end around the for lights. thanks guys

It should be fine unless you get into another accident. I think the only thing you risk is poking a hole in the radiator with a stone or something else, but that's pretty unlikely. Just don't drive around like that for an extended period.
