Hesitation from idle

I just replaced the carb on my '86 B150 Calif van and I have quite a flat spot when I accelerate from idle- other speeds are not affected. This is true hot or cold. The plugs are only 6 months old-it idles great. Any suggestions? Thanks!

is the carb brand new or was it used make sure its all cleaned out and check the gaskets for air leaks
