dogs down at stops

I have a 92 RS with a 3.1L V-6. I just got down replacing most of the ignition system, and finally got it running again. Now when i am driving it and i stop the RPM's drop down to just under 700 and then they will go back up to just over 1000 and back down again. It does this a couple of times and then finally stops and will stay steady at just under 750 RPM's. Them when i start to move again it acts kinda weird at first. It'll go just fine and then act as if there is no powewr and then it will just run fine, and it does this at every stop that i make. Anyone have any suggestions on what it might be????

Sounds like the computer is trying to adjust the engine and something is out of whack. Does your check engine light come on (it should)? I would get a book that tells you how to check/adjust fault codes, timing, emissions, idle, tps, etc.. etc.. and make sure everything is adjusted to specs. On these things, if something isn't adjusted right the computer gets the wrong imput and and tries to adjust the engine accordingly. It can be a headache, but alot of patience and a good repair manual will solve your problem alot faster than second guessing.
