I was at a light. And I saw up ahead a riced out all hell looking Integra pull from a parking lot. Fartcan, HUGE wing, etc. I accelerate and make it up beside them..I put it down into 3rd and pace them and give it a rev. I didn't look over because I was too busy paying attention to what I was doing and I noticed the windows were realllly black tinted. So they started pulling away so I revved it up and dropped the clutch and took off leaving them wayyy behind. Well hear they come 'flying' past me giving me the middle finger. It was a fat girl driving and an ugly girl shotgun. So, they go past me giving the finger and they 'take' off'. I let them get about a car away, thats when I noticed it was a GSR so I down shift, floor it and leave them wayyyy behind. All in all it was fun. But I wouldn't even have messed with a fat ugly bitch. I thought it'd have been a young guy. Oh well.

I like GSR's, they are quick little cars, but obviously they got destroyed. No match for the 4.6. Good kill; not too often you see ugly girls driving riced out Integras.

I was some what shocked at the driver. The coolest part was how when they were trying to fly by and I floored it it's like they were standing still. :)

If you beat it that easily then it probably wasn't a GS-R but just a LS with a GSR badge. Either that or that girl doesn't know how to drive at all.

You should beat it, but not "as if it was standing still" because they can run low 15s to mid 14s with bolt ons and are not that much slower from a roll.

I'm 99.9% sure it was a GSR. It was pretty quick when I originally raced it...but when it did it's 'fly by' it seemed as if it were nothing at all to pass. So I don't know.

the giant wing probably weighed 200 lbs and screwed over his acceleration...still, even a reasonable GS-R is no match for a V8 mustang

Dampachi, you're from MD, right? Was it a silver Integra? Cuz I saw one tonight on my way home and the spoiler was honestly almost as tall as the roof and wider than the rear end.

Alright buddy, I don't need you to teach me the 'what goes around comes around' lesson. I don't go around making up bullshit stories about what kind of car I have and mouth off to more seasoned members. I made a typo. Oops. So uh, good job...oohh you sure showed me. hey its completly possible and i belive him bc i drive a 96 gt and i beat a gsr and i know for a fact it was one bc i know the girl that sold it. i best it from a stand still and put 3 cars on him by 95! My 96 gt is the model before the pi heads so i have 215 or 225 hp depends where u look but i think its 215. the gt hes driving Has P.I. heads and he has 260 hp so yeah he was gonna destroy it! Think about the tourqe difference too 4.6 have over 300 ft-lbs of it!
By the way good kill man.

Yeah good kill on that, I bet the fat chick just drained the motor with the extra weight she put on the car...I have another question tho, What is a Mercedes 300? Can I see a pic

CassiesMan
02-02-2005, 09:15 AM
300 were the older model Benzes, like 80/70s, not 90s. I'll see if I can find a pic for ya.

I don't think anyone doubts him beating the GSR because the Mustang is the faster car any way you look at it. But he said it had an exhaust and ho knows what else and I know of a guy who ran a 14.5 with just bolt ons and they can trap in the mid 90s, so whoever drove it shouldn't have lost as if they were standing still, especailly from a roll.

But there's not doubt that he should have taken it by a few cars.

"Dam-puh-chee". Dampachi is the mascot for Tein suspension products. I've been told the name comes from some word having to do with 'dampening' suspenion. A mercedes 300D is an ugly beast of a car. I'll take some pictures of mine today when I get a chance. And I'm pretty sure this person only had exhaust and a whole bunch more of riced out exterior mods. 14.5 is Type-R territory. There was a supercharged GS-R in an issue of honda tuning I have that only ran an average of 15.1 and a best of 14.7.

Magazines like Honda tuning and most others like to smoke a lot of dust before they test drive cars. What magazine has ran a 13.66 in a stock S2000 or a 14.0 in a stock BMW 330ci ZHP? The driver makes the car.

This guy ran a 14.5 with I/H/E, IRRC

Hi. I Have A Gs-r, Hense The User Id, I'd Just Like To Say That, In My Opinion, It Was Not A Great Kill. It Is Super Obvious That A V-8 Mustang Would Have A Considerable Amount Of Top End Power, More Than A Gs-r. Off The Line, Who Knows....depends On The Driver. In The 1/4 Mile, Definately The Mustang. You See They Are Totally Different Classes Of Cars. Four Cylinders Have Hardcore Technology In The Vehicles Which Allow Them To Have Very Impressive Power With A 1.6 To A 2.2 Liter Engine And Still Have Great Gas Mileage. And The V-8's Are Much Simpler And More Raw Power To Those Gas Guzzlers. I Have To Add A Turbo To My Engine To Enter The Mid 13's And Waste A Stock Gt Mustang, But If That Mustang Adds A Supercharger, Ooohhh. Forget About It. I'd Like To Finish By Saying, If You Were Wasted By A Ferrari Or Some Different Class Vehicle Than Yours, Would That Be Considered A Great Kill? Maybe It's Just Cuz You Hate Rice Burners. I Think Both Are Great. -fin-

Um, I have nothing against imports. Saying "good kill" is a polite thing to say. It doesn't necessarily mean that was the best race ever in the whole existence of racing. And Whats With Capitalizing Every Single Word? Its Not Only Annoying And Useless, Its Hard To Do.

When you have the caps on, the system automatically capitalizes the first letter instead of the whole text...i believe.

This guy sounds like a tool. Noone was talking about technology and Ferraris. Plus, those 9 miles a gallon Ferrari Modena engines are really full of technology :lol2: (they really are though)

And if the GS-R has a chance, it would be at higher speeds from a roll, not from a stop. You need to be in higher rpms to make any noticable power while the Mustang has more than double the torque at lower rpms.

I'm suprised you don't know anything about your own car.

no he said that 95gsr didnt know anything. why does everyone argue so much around here? it was a race between a mustang and a riced out peice of crap. who cares if theyre different class? the ricer obviously isnt interested in racing anyway. the whole different class thing is stupid because if you know your car is at a huge disadvantage, then why race??? thats like an excuse that i would make lol. anyway. its just a fun race , people. no need to get all screwed up about it.

No, i was talking to the other guy who said the only way he could take a Mustang is from a stop, when it's the other way around.

The only way he'd be able to take one tough is if he was a very good driver racing a retarded guy with an automatic GT.

GSRs are pretty quick tho, my friend has a 97, he raced my other friend in his 91 mustang GT California Edition (centerline rims, saleen racecraft suspension), both stock (other than the GSR had a CF hood and the back seat removed), and it was a very good race. the stang had him up until 3rd, which he missed (he had the car for about 2 weeks before the race), so he lost about a second, and then they were even until top of 4th, when VTEC kicked in he started to pull. they would've been equal if he hadnt missed a shift.

Cliff notes: 97 GSR = 91 Stang GT 5.0

oh and sorry for hi-jackin the thread dampachi

It's fine, this threads no longer in it's prime so it doesn't really matter. I can slaughter them stock/lightly modded foxbodies. I raced a kid with a 92 GT with full bassani exhaust and beat him so bad..after the race he asked me what mods I had. I was like "None..I'm stock" and he was like "No way!" and was acting like I was lying. Oh well. haha. :)

fierangero
02-02-2005, 07:27 PM
yeah those 4.9L fox bodies arent as fast as their drivers make them out to be. 220crank hp...fast, but not as fast as the 4.6s

Even from a roll, the GSR wouldn't have had a snowballs chance in hell without a few goodies under the hood.

ZackKVtec
02-03-2005, 08:31 PM
Type-s wasnt saying that it would have beat it, rather he was saying he wouldnt have passed him like a stand still. One time i got beat and it felt like i was actually not moving. I had to look down at my foot and see if it was on the accelerator. That was against an 80's monte carlo with at least 12 inch slicks on the back, slots for a wheelie bar, and a sticker on the back that said "More Power Racing". Which would have done the same thing to ANY mustang. Point being, GT will beat GSR. Not like a stand still though.

There was a supercharged GS-R in an issue of honda tuning I have that only ran an average of 15.1 and a best of 14.7.

HA!... well see about that

Totally off subject, but TypeGsR, why do you drive a 1994 S2000? Do they exist? Or could you possibly be a recently banned person? I don't mean to get after you, but you certainly remind me of a guy named RobTypeR. Both of you are from Danbury, CT. And you both take an interest in Preludes. Hmmmmm...

I believe you have to be voted as one.

You can become a mod of one forum from what I hear. You must be very knowledgeable, give helpful tips, and keep threads "moderated".

Sadly I don't see myslef becoming one soon  Someday, someday. L8...

CivRacer95

I don't think asking to become one will help your odds.

You look at guys like Polygon, Neutrino, Igovert, etc. They all are extremely knowledgeable, and give great advice to those seeking it. That's what a mod is here for, also to keep things going along smoothly, working out the bumps (guys that need to be banned). I don't think it's an easy job, even if you are on here everyday. Honestly, the next person I see becoming a mod is TatII. I really think a guy like him deserves it. There are several others, but he's just off the top of my head at the moment.

I go to the 92-95 Civic Forums, and the mods there are extremely helpful. They know everything about Civics. They do a great job, and they are on everyday to answer your questions throughout the day. Go there, and you can see for yourself what kind of help they provide. L8...

CivRacer95

What Are Moderators?
Moderators oversee specific forums. They generally have the ability to edit and delete posts, move threads, and perform other manipulations. Becoming a moderator for a specific forum is usually rewarded to users who are particularly helpful and knowledgeable in the subject of the forum they are moderating.

Got that through the FAQ guidelines. L8...

I think that you need to make up your mind. First it would have definitley kept up and than your run on sentence claims that it wouldn't keep up.

Also...guess what newb...it's irrelavent (sp?) if you would have been driving or not because you weren't.
