engine/starter problem?

Hey guys, i am new to this forum, but im in need of help really badly. Today i was trying to start my car and it didnt even make any noise when i turned the key. I think its the starter, but what can it be if it doesnt even make any noise under the hood??? Could it be because of the antifreeze? i had my arrow go up to "HOT" all the time today and some days ago. But i was just going to refill it. What do you think the problems is?

i think the coolant is leaking, because i had to refill my antifreeze just a month ago or less, and its out already. Battery i am not sure. What do u think the problem is?

if your battery is charged and you think it may be the starter then get a friend and a large wrench or something. Have your friend sit in the car and hold the key on as if he were to start the car (don't forget to depress the clutch). Now open your hood and tap on your starter a little with the wrench or whatever you are using. If the car all of a sudden starts you will need a new starter soon because it has a dead spot in it. My car has been doing this for almost a year now, about every other week it won't start and I have to tap on the starter a bit to get her to work. Now keep in mind that this isn't the best but will egt you out of a bind. everytime you do it though you run the risk of making it worse and worse so if it is the starter I would start saving for a new one.

ok first thing is to find that leak and fix it.

do you head lights turn on bright or are they really dim ? have you tried to jump start it ? that should help to tell if its the battery or not. you could also try and use a remote starter to see if its the solenoid

i checked my starter fuses and my fuel pump fuse.... they are good...

so i have no clue what could be wrong..?

grab a voltage meter from walmart and check the main relay and fuel pump.

you have electricity? basically, when you turn on the lights, do they come on? curious about the engine overheating though. you drive it alot when it is all the way in HOT? a better description of driving habits when overheating would be nice. was it in HOT when you last drove it, before it died? also, as for not having coolant. your coolant is going somwhere. you need to find the leak. you should also crank the engine to see if it is locked up. a leakdown test would be nice right now too if you cant get compresison. it'll tell you if your engine is worth saving ;)

toolk fuel pump out.... ran direct power from the battery to it... and it spun and shot out fuel... so that works...

havfen't tested voltatge from the plugs on the pump yet....
