hey everyone.just wanted to ask you all if you had any experience painting your own car parts.i'm trying to paint my black widow side skirts.i just topped them off today with the final color coat but the final result has "sprinkles" (tiny bubbles) on the skirts.i dont know if i explained it correctly, but it seems as if they're not going to be smooth when they dry up.i sanded, primed, and painted.what should i do to get a smooth glossy look?is it possible to do with spray cans?let me know thanx.

It is possible to paint your own from spray cans but the paint probably won't look as good and certainly won't be as durable as a professional job. I painted my eyelids (see the sig) and they turned out nice. You just need to sand down those bubbles with some fine grit till they dissapear and then lay down some more paint. Also make sure the temperature outside is proper.

it sounds like it's a little cold for you to be painting. I have my own spray gun set up and paint booth so I spray all my stuff with a gun. However I have done quite a few things with rattle cans and it can turn out almost as good. Just make sure you do a good prep job and make sure everything is the right temp. or you'll get tiny little bubbles and shit like that.... :icon16:
