where can i get a wiring diagram to connect the fog lights up for an e36 97 318i

The wiring diagrams in the Benntley manual are pretty good. You may want to check with the dealer on your model. My M30 had the connectors for fog lights pre installed as part of the factory wiring harness although the car did not come with fog lights.
