Ok boys, girls, hags and all! lol
TIme to show off your portable Mp3 player, and show us what you got.
Me, I have a 2nd Gen 20GB Apple iPod, with the touch-sensitive buttons. I'd say I've had it for a little over a year now, and it works just perfect.
The irony is that I don't have a photo of mine yet I make the thread about lol. So photos are welcome! So Show us what'chya got!

WHY DO PEOPLE ALWAYS START THREADS THAT RELATE TO MINE???
EVERY time I start a thread someone else starts a thread that is almost exactly the same as mine.

Same, except old as balls and only 128mb. Holds like 20 songs, it sucks. It's an old Nomad MuVo

20 songs - LOL. I have 2 copies of my entire MP3 collection (which currently runs to hundreds of gig over 6 computers), one encoded at 320k for quality and the other copy encoded at 80k for the mp3 player. Can get about 6 CDs on there. And with the quality of the headphones, interference etc. I don't beleive anyone can tell the difference.

Gen 3 10GB iPod.
Awful thing, sounds good and is pretty sturdy, but I have a little game called "What'll go wrong with it this week". I usually end up giving up when I lose count of things that go wrong with it. Already had it replaced under warranty once.
Sadly Apple has the monopoly over MP3 players with proper Hard-drives over here :(

This is what I have...
*I can't find my picture, but its in my gallery. Computer is too laggy...downloading 6 different movies simultanously...and with a Up/Down speed of 11kbps*
Its a JNC SSF-73, with 256mb built in memory, FM radio and USB rechargeable Lithium battery. I would have preferred one that was powered by an AAA battery instead, because if my battery dies then I will have to get a new mp3 player. Ah well, I probably would anyway in two years...
I'm pretty happy with it, but it has these REALLY odd necklace type headphones....I can listen to MP3, record speech/songs. listen to FM radio and use it as a flash drive. I'm not too picky about my mp3 player, something thats not too heavy, plays 30-40 songs and radio would do fine, so I think $150 was a good deal, considering that this was made in Korea, not China. I'd probably buy something else anyways in a few years...something with 40 GB sounds nice...:naughty:
(Oh, and I only got it this Saturday too....)

Ah, see I use big huge head-encompassing ultra-high quality headphones with mine. Sort of defeats the purpose of having the teeny tiny MP3 player, I suppose.

All of my music doesn't go under 128kbps otherwise I say it's crap. Most of my CDs are at 320kbps while some of mine are at 1000+ kbps lol, from Apple's Lossless encoder.

If I plug DJ quality headphones in, it sounds crap. But I wouldn't think about carrying them around with me.

Sony D-NE509... actually it's a CD-mp3 player, but meh. You get used to its shortcomings. Like caching only one file at a time, or completely skipping files if it can't read them on the first try, or... well, never mind.
I'm looking into the iRiver H340:
-40 GB storage (and doubles as a portable hard drive, since it doesn't use any special drivers or anything)
-16 hour battery life
-Plays mp3/ ogg/ wma/ wav audio, views bmp and jpg images, also has a text viewer
-Graphic equalizer
-Records from line-in jack, built-in mic, or FM tuner
-Supports "PlaysForSure" (Don't really care) and Winamp playlists
Also, I understand that if you load the Korean or Euro firmware, it removes the volume cap, allows a USB connection to most digital cameras and card readers, and supports XviD movies (10 fps, 450 kbps on a 2" screen, but hey, it IS labeled "audio jukebox"). Not a bad package for $400.
