You might want to clarify what you want a little more...are you looking for a power mod or a mod that will benefit you in handling. Also what kind of money do you want to be spending...because the best mod IMO is always forced induction, but a turbo or supercharger is going to run you a few grand...so you may want to be a bit more specific...
Also what are your goals, because the best bang for buck mod...might not always be the best one to start with.

I just wanted to know what recent luck, good or bad, people have had moding there cars. I can READ all the mod specs i want, but i would much rather hear from someone who has tested the actual parts and what not. I already know what i want. I just like to know how people like what they got. Again...high gain....low ain.....looks....whatever....

I think your missing my point...
For instance the best mod possible would be a turbo or supercharger...but that will cost you 2000-5000
A nice starting mod for cheap could be an intake for $30.
There is a huge difference. So if you rephrase your question you will probably get more useful answers.
Because we don't know if you are asking:
What is the best mod I can do for under $150?
What is the best exhaust, hp and price-wise?
What mod will give me an additional 100hp?
See the difference...It's like asking what is the best food? We don't know if you are interested in lobster and caviar, or sweet tarts and jolly ranchers...
An open question like this tends to get skipped over by most people, so I suggest you narrow it down and if you have specific questions, regarding what to do first, or what brands to go with or avoid, etc, then you ask them. You'll get alot more useful responses that way.

i like my intake and i paid about 15bucks per hp i got out of it (not proven but approximate) relate that to a turbo kit for 4k $$ and an extra 130whp.... and its a higher $ per whp

the ST rear sway bar

the dthree chassis kits like 4-something+ shiping. aftermarket brake rotors are your best bet. or good quality tires. not to much you can do to the 3g without shelling out some clams.

the reason i didnt suggest the D3 chassis kit is b/c there is a debate on whether we need a front sway bar. some say it works great, others say it can create understeer or oversteer

for just performance...intake and a downpipe for under 500$ if you do it all yourself

I would agree with the brakes. You can get some performance stock replacement rotors and pads and it will greatly increase your overall performance under braking. Although, good tires also contribute to the cause of stopping...so after a while, the brakes feel a little strong for stock tires. The BEST thing you can do is set up a priority list of what you want done. Start with easy stuff that will help you later on with bigger more $$$ stuff. AKA, you will need brakes and wheels before you get FI because whats the point of 350+ WHP if you cant get it to the ground.

true about the D3 front swaybar theory. if im not mistaken RRE suggests not toinstall one on the front either.
what model car are we talking about anyway?

I drive the same year. MAKE SURE you get the 00 spec brakes. They changed after 02 I believe, maybe even 01. Make sure that they are for the 00 year car, otherwise the fronts only have a 1 piston caliper (i believe is what they changed it to.) My rotors are drilled PowerStop brakes with AEM High performance pads. Stop on a dime. You might also want to invest in some higher quality brake fluid...even though temps will be cooler under normal braking, temps will increase under high speed constant stopping because the pads will not fade, so make sure your fluid will handle the extra heat.

Was gonna suggest tires also, but you've already got them.
I haven't done antyhing to my car performance wise yet. In May I'm going to get good quality tires put on my car, then probably a CAI after that. After that not sure, thinking maybe headers.

The D3 kit does not come with a front sway bar, as the OEM is adequate.
Best mod under $500 IMO would be the D3 Full Chassis kit. Make your car handle obscenely well, and gives you better driver feedback.

actually the full kit is like 5 pieces of metal. i would also love to see you make a bar that performs like the D3 kit

theres quite a bit of difference between a home made rig and the D3. D3 designs has spent hours upon hours and days upon days testing and perfecting thier product. thier track cars are sweeeeet!
isnt jessica the gal that had the shocks, kyb agx i believe, for sale awhile back? as i recall the price was good.
