ford lightning V10

Does anybody think ford will build a lightning with a cobra V10.http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

im assuming shelby cobra v10? and what i heard was that in the 06 or 07 cobra whichever one it is that they are going to put the ford gt motor in it.

oops my bad, i was thinkin cobra. but in the past they put the same engine in the cobra and lightning.

That would be stupid why use 10 when the Lightning can be faster with 8. It will most likely have the 5.4l with DOHC and of course SC. There was a posobiliy for a 6.2l motor but Ford scraped that project.

that v10 is 605hp. not sure how that is slower?

Yeah a 600 hp none supercharged V10 is much slower than a 500 hp supercharged V8.

They didn't scrape the project. They put too much time and money into the development and all they did was drop the A/C Cobra. Ford is seriously talking about making a Shelby GR-1 which will have the Cobra's engine and will be another supercar like the GT-40.

from an atomotive news article they did scrap the 6.2 liter engine. Pluss i really wound not want a Lightning with a V10.
