The State of Hyde ...

Well, I haven't been posting a lot about Hyde because it is winter here and the car is off the road. He has had his winter check up.
Compression is very even across all four cylinders and it appears as healthy as can be at 200,222 original unopened miles :)

So what's being done?
*Spec Stage 3/5 Combo clutch. I destroyed the Spec Stage 3 that was in there. I am 90% sure that is why my ETs did not improve at the end of the season.
*Nemesis EMS system. This is an EMS made specifically for the MR2. No more old school black box tuning for me. We are getting the real deal.
*Wolfkatz Fuel rail and 850 cc Blitz injectors
*HKS 272 int cam and 264 exh cams
*ATS Racing adjustable cam gears
*possibly a tubular exhaust manifold

We will be looking for 425~445 rwhp with improved spool up.
with that, I am hoping to visit low 11s and maybe sniff the 10s this year.
If I do not get 10s this year, expect to see some nitrous being squirted next year :D

Also converting my power windows over to manual (save a bunch of weight). Lots of basic maintenance. I may be swapping my ST Sway Bars for the TRD Bars (they are almost 20 lbs lighter).

I may also be buying some road racing tires and new rims for the Hill Climbs. My Enkie's on Hyde with the Falken GRBtires are for sale.

Glad to hear she's doing good :) You're on a stock block??? I thought you were running a built block, that's wicked! Did they come built for boost from the factory? Sorry, I'm not familiar with MR2's at all. That thing's already fast, gonna be a real beast now!

The 3SGTE engine comes with a turbo from the factory. They run 7~11.9 psi of boost from the factory.

I'm on a bigger turbo and runnign 24.5 psi of boost :)

My engine is 100% original, unopened ~ documented.

That's wild, I had no idea they had that kind of potential. I figured all the fast ones were fully built. I've always liked the look of the older ones (the kind you have). :bigthumb:

Alright to save some money, lets say, "CivRacerOwnsJoo". How much does that take off? $410 is half my paycheck, and what if you wreck Hyde? Do I get a refund if my name gets smudged off? :grinno: I think I'll sponsor myself in that case :lol: . Late...

Just so you guys know, I cancelled 2 bids on the auction. That is why it came down in price.
2 of the bidders were not legitimate bids, so I booted them. :)

I am more interested in doing this right, than getting the biggest $ amount.

We'll see what happens.
