If the CPS starts going bad I realize that starting the engine becomes more difficult.Does this also figure in with the overall running of the engine, such as timing?Ive checked my CPS on my 89 4.0 and it reads 380 ohms resistance.I beleive this is means its starting to go bad, would this also make it idle rough?

I feel stupid, Yes it could make it run rough, if you checked it and its out of the tolerance, than I would replace it. Not sure how involved it is, let me know how it goes.

Hi, possibbly , how long has it been since a full tuneup,--plugs, plug wires cap and rotor. Air filter change. Plus throttlebody cleaning.
