tranny problem anyone help???

I have a 1993 Talon ESI 2.0NT auto. I was driving and the trans would only get to 45 mph and I was 10 miles from home. I took the back way and buy the time I got on my block the car would not move in any gears. I heard no noises or grinding.

Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know what it is? A junk yard tranny cost $900.00 and higher in Michigan and twice that to rebuild it. I anyone has one cheaper let me know.
