If you are the original owner call the dealership where you bought it and ask for the keycode. If you're second owner or beyond call locksmith and have them make you new keys but it'll cost you. Last alternative is buy a new lock set, doors and rear hatch and replace assuming that you can get inside your vehicle. BTW the little plastic tag with barcode and numbers will be your keycodes that you can give locksmith if you lose all of your keys. Let us know what you do.

im not the original owner.im the fourth person to own this explorer.what plastic tag are you refering to?
how much would a loksmith cost?
how much would a new lock set cost?
im sure you wouldnt know the exact cost but do you have an idea?
i do have access to the vehicle because like many explorers my windows are screwed up,damn ford.
do you think that the dealership would have the codes in the computer

I only have one key for my 2002 and its a transponder. One extra key for me was 120 with programming and they needed the truck too. I don't know if 91s have transponder keys.

Good Luck !!!!!!

The SecuriLock (transponder) keys weren't used until the 1999 model year. A Ford dealership can make new keys for you based on the VIN number, assuming that the locksets are original to the truck, but they will need proof of ownership, i.e. title. Prices will vary from dealership to dealership, but expect to pay $45+ per lock including the ignition lock.
