I just bought a 95 cutti from someone and i'm new to this board.
I was told that the previous owner was told by the dealership that her torque converter was going out in the car. How do i know for sure. I haven't been able to tell if there's problem or not.
My plan is to have all the fluid changed and i read somewhere that there's a vacuum modulator on the torque converter. As far as shifting it seems to shift fine without problems for now (knock on wood).
Anything I should look out for?
Thanks

Think of the Torque Convertor like a clutch. If it goes it'll kind of rev and not go anywhere very well. I think the modulator is electronic, not totally sure.

I also know noticed that the Gear shiftor on the column is extremely hard to move from one position to another. What can i do to get it loosened up? Is that a linkage /adjustment problem.

Can't really say, both of my W-bodies are floor shifted. I would assume that it could be adjusted or the shifting cable sprayed with a good lubricant such as CRC Power Lube.
Good Luck!
