I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu that came with a 307 and 2 speed auto combo. I also have aquired a 1970 LeMans with a big block 350 already built up for only 50 dollars. I was wondering if anyone has done this...I am not afraid of getting the wiring or drivetrain to fit. I am going to use the engine, tranny, driveshaft, and rear end (posi  ). The only thing I was wondering was if I will have problems with the motor mounts. I do have a chevy 350 and a turbo 350 tranny, but hell this engine is already bored 30 over and built up. I don't plan on keeping it a mutt forever...I want to go with a chevy big block in the future.

Not a problem the mounts are the same. Paint it the correct color and no one will know.

Thank you, I had read about someone putting a 1970 chevy 307 in a LeMans last night after I posted that. It made me fairly sure they were the same, it only appears that the pontiac engine mounts are farther back? Then again the cars are 2 miles apart and one has the engine, one doesn't.
