Car won't crank/start

'95 thunderbird will not always crank/turnover, happens every week or so. Everything else works except the turn signals and the brake lights(I think)Possibly unrelated, dunno. Have a remote starter for the car also. When it pulls this little "no start" stunt, the remote starter does not work either which kinda rules out the tumbler yes? Something else I noticed when it acts up....you go from accessory to spring loaded start position, the blower fan never drops out...isn't it supposed to? It does on every other car I've seen....I think. Tried starting in neutral(thinking maybe tranny switch????) Mashing brake pedal, can't really relate it to anything so far.....anyone else seen this? Once it turns over it fires up just fine but its like it doesn't know the key is in the "start" position but then the remote starter doesn't work either. And I checked the remote starter under the dash, it ties into several start and ignition wires but doesn't actually "sever" any of them so I don't really suspect that. Any words of wisdom out there?
THANX!!!

Does it make any noise at all when you turn the key or does it do nothing at all?

No noise at all, no lights dim, no clicking, nothing

Check the ignition switch, not the key and lock tumbler.

or remote starter wiring, something could be shorting out if you don't even hear the fuel pump kick in on IGN.

crank position sensor. lower left side front. when it wont start, pull it wait 5 min, put it back in. if she fires, theres your problem. good luck
