The intake size will depend on what kind of turbo you actually plan to get. If your going to buy an intake now...you will want it to work with both.(stock turbo and future turbo)

Do you know what turbo later? I would either modify the stock intake pipe, with an aftermarket filter and wait for the turbo upgrade, or make a homemade intake to use until then. It's complicated unless you know what turbo you want later. A dejon 3'' will work with a T25 and a 20g, but not a 16g or 14b apparently. 2.75 will work with all mitsu turbos.

im eventually going to upgrade to a 16g turbo and im trying to follow the tuning guide on dsmtuner.com and it says 1st step is intake, so what size piping should i get that will work for now on my stock t25 and my later 16g?

I thought 3in be fine but on here their saying 2.75in will work with your stock and 16g's. So go 2.75 and play it safe unless someone gives you feedback about 3in. who know's from experience.
