Hey you guys, looking for a car and I found a 89' Stang with the V8 and a manual tranny. I was wondering how good are these cars, dont have any experience with stangs. But for year and engine and stuff about how fast or comapred to other cars, handling, overall ride. If i could get any info on this car itwould help me lots. Thanks

Well, they are getting long in the tooth, and there is not too many 5.0's that have not been beat on by the previous owners.
Realiability.. depends on the previous owner and how well they took care of the ride.
Fast ..... anywhere between 14~16 seconds stock from the factory, not stripped or modded.

usually, a little body and suspension work, plus a motor rebuild, will have those cars running like champs. and they're super easy to mod. a few grand will have them running 13s, which is enough to compete on the street.

there pretty damn good cars. Like others said it depends on how the last owner treated it.. Anyways these cars can be easily modded and hit 12s with stock heads, stock suspension... Just some bolt ons will hit 13s like a piece of cake.. There around the mid 14s range bonestock. And these cars have such a awesome aftermarket as well.. Anyways goodluck! And even a Camaro owner is saying they have BALLS LOL
