1994 Dodge Ram starting problem

My Dodge Ram will crank and start, but it wont stay running. After you crank it over it will only stay running if you hold the gas and sometimes it will stay idling, but when you drive and pull up to a stop it will shut off. What makes it do that?

what have you checked already?

I'd guess maybe the EGR valve sticking open.
