Squeaking Tundra central dash cluster

I have an 01' Tundra, and ever since the vehicle clicked over 30 K miles, I've noticed a very aggravating squeak around the central cluster of the dash. I've noticed a decrease in the squeak after the truck interior is warmed up but not universally. I've tried tightening and re-tightening the screws to no avail. I bought a Toyota, because of the supposedly better fit and finish compared to Ford, Dodge and Chevy. I'm beginning to wonder.

my stereo was a little loose. i accidentaly fixed it when i had the dash apart to feed my audio addiction.

i just recently walked away from a 10g access cab tundra because it had an extremely annoying rattle coming from the glove compartment area.

I had the very same annoying rattle coming from my glove box on my '05, I silenced it with some automotive style weather stripping I bought from Ace hardware for about $8. I just ran a strip of it down each side of the lid where it contacts the dash and it is rattle free now.

I wouldn't wonder about Toyota quality just because a squeek has developed after 30k miles of driving. Something somewhere has vibrated loose and eventually you'll find it, just keep looking. I think I would remove any sections of the dash that will easily come off to get a better look at what could be rattling. Then, put it back together, even if you haven't found anything. Many times, just removing and then reinstalling your panels will silence a rattle or squeek.
