Well just got my new water pump back on and my new motor mount wont be in til thursday. Tell me if this sounds right for the timimg:
Position the oil pump pulley by the mark, position the crank at the mark (is that TDC at the 1st cyl?), mate the cams by mark, and put the belt on? 1stgenrocks...i know youve done this. What am i missing, or forgeting?
Also... there was a tensioner bracket for the water pump and i cant get the damn thing back on...

Every one forgets this... you have to take out a bolt in the back of the block and put a screwdriver in there to hold the rear balence shaft in place. Heres the V-FAQ.

Thats to check the silent shaft, and you only have to check it if you take off the oil pump pulley.

if you are doing the timing belt you should either replace or remove the bshaft belt too.
