96 Blazer will start sometimes.

The 96 Blazer will start sometimes when you ture the key on and off. It's not sending power to the gauges. Has anyone run into this before. I think its the Switch ASM, ignition and Key Alarm. I want to know for sure before I buy it and get it shipped overseas.

Sounds like the ignition switch to me.

I called the dealer and they sayed it's the Ignition Lock cylinder. The only thing is it needs to be reprogrammed after it installed. Do you program it just like the 98 blazers or is there another way?

No, you need the ignition module.

Ok, i'll take the change that its that. Is it hard to replace??

Another thing is that I went into a little more in dept and found out I'm not getting any power out of the switch to energize anything. So has anyone ever had this problem and could give me a little more info. Thanks
