I own a 1990 buick century that has a 3300 in it. I've heard that this is the little brother of the 3800 and I was wanting a turbo not a supercharger for my car. I know it wasn't made to haul ass. But then again was a civic? I've been thinking people can make a weak ass 4 cylinder run over 140 MPH so what can I do with a 204 C.I.D. V6 that's made by buick? any info will be appreciated.

Well no engine is going to run 140mph without some serious internal work.

Search google or check in the forum for your car. More than likely, it will have to be a custom installation.

you could take the turbo kit made for the 3.8L Grand Prix and modify it to fit the series I. I would just do an L67 swap though, it would be alot easier.

the problem you are going to have is that all of the parts you are going to need are going to be custom fabricated. There is no way that you're going to find a turbo header or headers for your car. That is going to have to be custom, along w/ all the tubing for the intercooler. Also where are you going to place an intercooler? The other thing is is that you're going to have to find someone that can help you create an FMU by using different injectors because i really doubt that there is a piggy-back ECU for your car. There are all of these little details that go into making the turbo work that nobody thinks about. If you just tried to slap it together even w/ the manifold, you'd be on here in a month or two complaining that you fried the ringlands on the pistons or blew a hole in one of the piston heads. Work out the details and then worry about the rest of it.

is there any other ways to make this car cruise about 140 without changing the engine? I know the transmission can do it because it is very high geared, I just want something that will smoke the local ricers around here because I'm tired of hearing the crap about my "grandpa car" I want to prove all these cocky lil asshats around here wrong. I want a V6 that will smoke a 4 Cylinder is that too much too ask?

L67 swap is BY FAR the easiest and cheapest way to do it.

I dont want to do an L67 swap. I want my 3300 to do, I'll do whatever it takes, I'm supposed to be going to a few machine shops tomorrow and get some prices.

i have a 3300 in my 1992 Buick Skylark and that engine does have potential. I chopped and fitted a ram air system off of a Civic onto it and that definately helped. I really don't think that your car is going to be able to go 140mph w/o a tranny that can go that fast (Skylark will only do 130 MAX) There is also the problem of the governor. I don't know what it is set at on your car or if it even has one, but that may be a problem. You could put a remote mount turbo on your car and upgrade fuel injectors and FMU...thats the old school way of turboing it. You could do a remote set up and push about 8 psi max...your car would have about 250whp maybe more. Stock fuel injectors are normally good for 6 psi or so...

There are ways to get around the problems with turboing your car, but i won't say that it can't be done....it'll take some inginuity. If you want suggestions, PM me or post on here and i'll try to check.
