parking lights staying on

hello!

having a problem with my parking lights. i have a 2002 suburban 8.1 and when i shut the truck off and the light switch is turned off, the parking lights stay on and i get the annoying chime that tells me my lights are on. i pulled the battery so it doesnt run down. any ideas as to what is causing this??? i'm stumped.

the only thing that could cause a problem like this is a short to power without a wiring diagram thats about as much help as i can give you

thanks. i found that if i pull the "trl prk" fuse, the lights go out. sounds like i've got something fishy with my trailer wiring going on.
