Replacing radio bezel

I just purchased a 1998 Civic EX and want to replace the broken climate control/radio bezel with one from a 1999 Civic EX. I'm just wondering if anyone has made this switch? They are both the same dimensions, but I was wondering what problems I may run into with the wiring being that the 1998 has the slider controls for heat, etc. and stand alone defrost button, while the one I want to install has the dial controls and moved the defrost button to the panel bottom (wired in with the A/C button, and recirc button). Will I need to go junk yarding and find myself the other half of the 99 plug and splice it in, or can the original plug be used?

Check With The Dealer Im Sure Thay Can Tell You The Differences Between The Two.you Can Probably Just Take Out The Old One And See For Yourself, If Everything Matches Up Go For It, But Be Careful.good Luck
