To stick to a diet.... :banghead:
From like nov 2002 to march 2003 i went from 260 to 200. It was awesome, and dieting was so damn easy cause i was working 6 days a week (50+hrs) and i had no time to wonder about my fav foods. :)
I am one of those people that live to eat..instead of eat to live.. It's just that i'm still looking for another job, and hadn't have the best of years... 04 sucked for me, plus i lost my job...place closed.. :banghead:
So here i was/am..on unemployment...with all the time on my hands, i did squat for like 7 months...and jumped back to 250lbs.. You see, for me, losing the weight is easy..i can lose 6lbs a week with dieting and light exercise. BUT..it's sticking to the diet, and not going out at MIDNITE to go to wendys to get 2 jr bacon cheeseburgers, large fries and a sprite damnit.. :disappoin
Somehow, everything will fall back into place ONCE i get a job, cause when your home...you eat out of bordom... :naughty:
Anyone got any helping words... :smokin:
PS, it sucks to see old friends...and there like "oh you gained the weight back, HAHA", and i'm like F*CK YOU.. :eek:

To me diets are stupid. Everyone i know doesnt stick to them. Just change what you eat and limit your intake of foods and excercise, IMO. It's better than saying I"m starting a diet. No need to do any super-duper excercises either. Just walk everyday. My parents do that, well use to and they lost the weight they wanted to felt healthier.

And it's not a diet, it's a lifestyle change. A diet's what you are on for awhile. Making a change to your lifestyle can be permanent.

i'm the same way, i love eating. Maybe its cause i'm european so we put alotta importance on dinner and food. And mostly i eat after midnight too

What i have to do, is hopefully get accepted at a job...lose the weight, go back to 200..then change my way of eating, then thats it. Maintain that weight by eating healthy.

anyways, I have two things to say. 6'6 200 would not be AWFULLY thin. I'm 6'8, and when I eat a lot, and work out a lot I weigh around 195-200. Yeah, skinny, but I havent been called lanky in years. In photos I see the difference between me when I was awfully skinny, and now, I am just thin. BTW tall guys hate the word lanky. Its like using the N word. Its seriously not cool. When I was 6'5, 155 I heard that word a lot. I Hated everybody that said it... seriously. Now days I would kick somebody's F'n ass for calling me lanky. Not because Im insecure, but just because I dont like assholes and I think they should get what they deserve.
the second thing is... I forget, but I understand about how hard it is to change your lifestyle. Sometimes I just cant make time to work out, and I cant make time to eat a lot. For me it sucks because I get skinnier than I want to be, and its too hard to do anything about it. But losing weight is easier than keeping it, so just eat healthier food, and work out.

Walking doesn't burn fat very efficiently. Don't get me wrong, it can feel good to go for a walk and it gets the heart pumping, but 35-45 minutes of fast paced jogging is much better for burning fat.
You only get out what you put in. If you don't want to weigh 250 lbs for the rest of your life, it is up to you and only you to change yourself. It takes some will power I understand, but it is all about how much you want it.

change your eating habbits ( no food after 7pm, eat small amounts through out the day, throw out the sodas, candy, ect....)
light to moderate exercise. If you dont go to the gym, you can keep your self buisy by doing yard work , or even house work( vacuming, sweeping ect....)
last but not least, lots of healthy sex.

Ha. I WISH i could gain weight. 6'1 and 150 pounds. skinny. I could sit around all day playing counterstrike and eating MRE's all day (at 1200 calories each) and not gain a pound. Not trying to rub it in. My girlfriend is a bigger girl, just because she is. She tries to go on these diets and stuff all the time, and loses a little weight, but then is always miserable. I don't care that she's got a little junk in the trunk, i still love her. And she's soft :)

2 years ago, at my second last physical I was 6' 2" 165lbs, at Christmas this year I was 6'4" 207 lbs. Right now I'm at 210lbs. Haven't heard 'lanky' in a while, it's all muscle BTW.
As for diets, go easy on them. Remember the term diet refers to the type or amount of food you take in, not the lack therof. I stick to a fairly strict diet, not cause I need to, but I just realize how much better off my body is.
Did you not feel great when you were 200 lbs? This should be motivation enough to keep you there.
I started working out a lot after I just got tired of been lanky and called string arms all the time, now my nickname's 'Arnold'. It does wonders for you, in many aspects, not just physical. I can't understand how people who have felt this let themselves slide like that. I haven't been to the gym in 4 days and I'm going insane!
BTW, at the gym you're there to workout, not scope chicks, sure there's hotties, but if they get more attention than the weight in front of you, get the fuck out.

I dropped from about 105 Kg back at the end of 7th form to anywhere in between 85-95 Kg this year (Being 6'1 and of a relatively large frame, big shoulders etc.), I've decided to eat breakfast and run/go to the gym 4 times a week, on top of playing soccer. I'm aiming to drop to a 34 Inch waist (Possibly even 32) from my current 37 inches.
Anybody hating on this guy for having trouble sticking to a diet really needs to understand that it's fucking hard to stick to a diet.
