I hope someone can help me with this.
I have Bridgestone S02 (235/45/18) that came with my Commodore HSV R8.
I am upgrading my tyres and trying to decide between Pirelli Zero and Bridgestone S0-3.
I would be grateful if someone could tell me the real difference comparing the two
And, which of the following configuration is best? Options in mind:
1) 245/45/18
2) 245/40/18
3) or bigger size for rear and leave 235/45/18 infront
Thanks in advance!

Here is the link to the tire rack tests.

I have run both tires, and am currently using the S03 Poles on 15x6.5 Volk Te-37s at 195-50-15, a far cry from the sizes you mentioned.
I have also driven an S2000 running the S02s and an Audi A6 running S02s.
Although the Pzeros where at 205-50-16 I can honestly compare these tires based on daily driven tests, and track tests. I have a review of the S03s on Hondastyle.com with some video footage although, this was near the end of the season I was unable to get footage of any autox testing.
This is a fairly good review enjoy

I found the main difference between all of these products was that rainy conditions or in any type of wet terrain the S03s maintained the most composure, although I did find that the S02s and even the Pzeros were just as good if maybe a hair better on bone dry days. Like all of those tires the S03 is extremely quiet, and the big factor here is the treadwear which shocked me, the S03 has held up 15-20% better than the other tires, not to mention has lost none of its composure in wet conditions, something that the other tires did.
Read those reviews for sure.
IMO the S03 is the best street tire on the market, even after having a crummy experience with Bridgestone/Firestone in the past, they have produced a great product, but if you want a great alternative the Pzeros are no chump, the only reason I don't recommend them over the S03s is the treadwear and that "UniT" technology behind the S03s that is just killer in the rain.
Hope this helps :)
Thank you.
Luke what is your feeling?

By the way how do you like the Commodore?
That car is really a big talk over here in the US :)
Many of the Chevy guys really love that car as do I and I am not a big fan of GM, or at least styling. But that car is really very unique.
What type of racing to you do? Or is it just a cruiser?

Here is a link to a head to head test we performed between the S-03, P-Zero Rosso and the Pilot Sport.
