03 Expedition door code

With the recent purchase of an 03 Expedition, the dealer wanted $60.00 to scan the computer to tell me the door entry code. Rip Off...I found the code taped to the computer module under the dash, passenger side, adjacent to the front fender (black box). The code is clearly printed on a white strip affixed to the box (five numbers).

I'd call some one and complain about it, report em to what local news channel that likes to do storys on big businesses/companies scamming the working man.

Thats a crock. Door codes can be found all over the place on a vehicle. Trunk lid, trunk lid support, on computer, and even inside the glove box depeding what factory it came out of.

Did you buy it from the dealer that wants to charge you $60 to scan the code? If so, they should have provided the code when you bought it!

Thank you soooo much!! you just saved me $80. This is my 4th expedition and 1st EB 2003. My other EXP either came with the card or I found it under the driver side dash. I call several Dealers and they would not tell me crap. One even said the modulator is placed where it is not visible in 2003 models so we would need to hook-up to the computer. It is 11pm and I ran to my garage with a pen light and BAM there it was. Once again thank you.

If you know anything about the side mirrors clicking or and not returning to the set position let me know. Also passenger rear window goes down with driver controller but will not go up with driver controller.
