I got bored thurs and took the 400 out of my 82 ta and the tranny.Have been aggravatied at the car for awhile,it started out as a pure black formula,87 year, with no engine. It had the scoop(L 88) i beleive is was the one in the pic. Any way it had the trans am ground package etc. It had lots of little flaws so my son picked the the 82 for me.We immeadiatly stipped down thew 87 and placed all the parts on the 82. It had a webber 4 speed that was sluggish and slow, that the lil goofy ricers loved to piss on. It was hard to shift, and often stuck, so out it came.In went a 350 turbo tranny. Drove it a few days and there went the main bearing in the 305. So out it came and in went a 350 we had in another car wtih a big ass cam and no vac. So put a lil melling cam in from Autozone. Took it to Nashivlle ( bout 40 miles) laughed a mustang an a hemi along the way, and on the way back another main bearing, spun.So in went the 400, but the car lot jacked us around on the title for nine months, had to threaten them with a lawsuit to get them to send for it,assholes,( two rivers motors Clarksville tn), and I was temped to sell/dimember it n crush te darn thing. Along the way had some major med problems(heart)and its been taunting me from the driveway as cars do. So now i have the ramair, the centerlines are back on, reinstalled the raido, bought louvers and has a built 350 w/ edlebrock intake ,carb, comp cam, 350 turbo and is complete execpt for one weld where i cut the exhaust to compensate for the 400, and one speedo cable, that i messed up. and for the first time in awhile I drove it around today, the 400 was fine just got bored with it ,still have to install the louvers , and then its ready for the body shop. Anyway if ya read this far will have new pics soon.
