Can I mount my amp directly to my 3/4 inch thick fiberboard sub box? in the box is a jl 10w6 at 300 rms so it will likely rattle the box a lot. are the vibrations going to screw up the amp or rattle loose the connections? i am all ready to install now, with the box nearly done, and i suddenly realized that this may be a problem a second ago. shit.

yes, if your box is vibrating bad enough to ruin your amp .... you need to rethink your box build

sorry, my question was, WILL it vibrate enough to ruin the amp? i wouldn't say the box is dancing around, but its obviously giving the amp a good shake. i was thinking about maybe putting a thin layer of some sort of styrofoam or insulator sweezed between the amp and the box to help reduce it. and, it might be fine anyway. i got to opinions locally, both guys thought it would be fine. we'll see.

I don't know how well you box is built so I can't say. If the bax is strong you should have no problem mounting on box but if the wood virbates and shakes a lot don't do it
