http://www.doubleyourmiles.com/ Someone should try this scam and tell us how bad it really is. There was a post in the Dodge Durango forum but the guy who bought never came back.

I was actually thinking about trying this after going over the site and reading everything. It's just that about 99% of those mileage increasing devices are lies :P. It would be nice if it just worked. Atleast they are a little more convincing because they aren't just selling some computer chip. Anyway, I'm starting to make myself sound like a newbie, so I'll leave it at that. If anyone is willing to buy one with me I'll go for it.

Looks like it's nothing but a fogger. That would result in a VERY lean mixture. Probably gets great MPG, at the cost of eventually melting a piston. It's a constant running "fuel atomizer" that just dumps vapor into the manifold. People do this already, just with nitrous.

Hey Zuki.. Bit confused. How would it result in a lean mixture? The injector is still running in the throttle body to make up the difference. I assume the O2 sensor would keep the injector putting the right amount in, which would be far less if this atomizer is dumping gas in the intake. If anything, I'd think this would make a rich condition if the injector can't cut back far enough. Incidently, wouldn't it be possible for gas to pool in your manifold using this, creating really quick back pops when the gas ignites?
My old 88 used to almost melt a hole in the plastic of the air filter plate over the carb between filter changes due to the gas pooling, igniting and popping back into the intake.

It would be lean because the O2 sensor would pick up the extra fuel, and cut WAY back on the stock injector's output. The stock in injector is placed where it'll distribute fuel evenly through all 3 cylinders. The atomizer is not. So 1-2 pistons will get a good mixture, the other side will be running REALLY lean. The 3cyl is not a bottle style intake manifold. There's no place, unless you drill a hole in the back of the manifold, to place the "fuel feeder" from the atomizer where it'll distribute fuel evenly. If your o2 sensor was faulty, then it would create a VERY lean mixture. On a second note, the D-cell sized fuel pump in the 3cyl probably couldn't supply enough fuel to feed both the injector, and the atomizer at the same time, with good pressure. The atomizer looks like it would do great with Carbed engines, but almost useless for fuel injection. It is true that carbs do not atomize fuel all that well. Unless you have some $1500 edelbrock racing carb. :)
