blend door

Code 23 blend door. Door stuck in the cold position, very cold right now.
Down to one car until I can get the dash apart. Is the door controled by a vaccum line. Is this a common problem. Most mech say its a pain to fix.
Any tips or suggestions

you didnt say what year I am working on a 96 lhs and the doors are electrically controlled, It has the climate control system. If you remove the center dash vent registers( they snap out, pull gently) take a coat hanger and try to help the blend door move. If it dosent try the actuator is probably bad and the other guy is right it is a pain to fix! but if it frees up and starts working you will be fine. Good luck!
