changing a fuse box 86 528e

how difficult is replacing a fuse box? Is this just as simple as removing the old one and reconnecting the wires going into the box or is there way more electrical work involved?

Not difficult but more tedious and time consuming than you'd think at first........they made the harness ends just long enough to reach their exact connection [ flat male spades ] location on the underside of the fusepanel. Map a map of exactly wire you've pulled each wire[s] connector on the map and tag them with the color code of the area you removed it from, most ALL the wires must be diconnected before you begin reconnecting to the new box............take a few minutes to plan which look easiet to reconnect LAST and disconnect them FIRST.
