1996 problems w/pwr widows

Our '96 is having problems. when changing the Interior light bulb a screwdriver by acident touched somthing now the Int. lights dont work and the power windows dont work.. I have looked at the fuses, and they are good. any Ideas how to fix this problem is much appreciated!! TY in advance !!

The same thing happened to me just a few days ago if you find out how to fix this please let me know Thanks.

You must have blown a fuse somewhere. Check those in the engine compartment as well.

If you are certain that the fuses are OK, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. This may re-program the body computer. This might help. If you do this, follow the owner manual for idling the engine after you reconnect.

How did you check the fuses? Did you use a test light or a meter?

Fuses to check include:

#1 Choice = Passenger compartment Fuse 27 Battery Saver relay
#2 Choice = Under hood Fuse 4 Power Locks

How did you check the fuses? Did you use a test light or a meter?
i used both and all of them work

Use a wiring diagram to trace all the affected areas and see if you can find a common point of failure.
There may be a burned up plug or wire caused by the short.
