So when I shift from first to second, it grinds (unless if I'm granny shifting) and you guys said it was the 2nd gear synchro. But if my car's rolling in neutral and I shift to 2nd, it doesn't grind. You guys know why that is?

I'm not an expert on manuals as i deal with more automatics then i do with manuals, but i do know that your 2nd gear synchro is shot. My guess would be to shifting into neutral then 2nd is the same concept as granny shifting as you dont move from 1st to 2nd real quick, so you dont grind your 2nd gear synchro as bad to the point where you hear it.

:headshake: :nono:

gear bushing? :wtf: definitely synchro. if it was the bushings then it would most likely grind all the freakin time. but since it only grinds when he shifts fast, all signs point to synchro.
