Engine Pipe Help (pic inside)

Hi

Hope someone here can help. Just bought myself a 1996 Fiesta 1.6i DOHC 16v Ghia as a runaround. Engine is pretty clean but I have noticed one pipe coming from the rear of the engine that doesn't seem to be connected to anything (can't see fully). Looks like a breather pipe or something.

Can anyone identify this pipe, where should it go to?
