Is the Mazda dealer the best source for replacement wiring harnesses?
I am looking for a 2nd gen TII and they seem to have a common problem with wiring. I am currently looking at an 87 with “wiring harness that was cracked and crumbled...” the car has >100k miles on it and 37k on the motor. Over all, the car seems to be in good condition and everything works. It runs but shuts down on its own. I am thinking it might be best to just replace the harnesses rather than try to trouble shoot sporadic problems.
any idea, thoughts, welcome.
thanks,
Jim P.

Get the ECU tester lights, then wiggle the harness till you find the short.. Fixed SO many FCs this way...
Maybe I just rule.. Who knows?
