Wanna race for rims?

So here I am in my bumper to bumper commute home after work in the 5 o'clock traffic. This civic pulls up next to me and asks if I wanna race for my rims. Knowing there's no way in hell I'd ever race for something besides the thrill of it of course I said hell no. I was like what are you gonna give me when I beat you? He started laughing and was like yeah, ok! (That's why my engine and turbo are getting put in w/in a month :D) I was like how are we gonna race with all this traffic? He was "Follow me, I have a spot". Anyways, what a moron! Just had to share my encounter with one of the stupids out there.

that was kind of anti-climatic. but I was made a similar bet by my friend. he thought he could take my prelude in his 00' v-6 accord. We bet that if I won he'd get me an exhaust and if i lost I'd have to get him an intake. I was scared shitless when we lined up but 2 weeks later i had a shiny new exhaust under my car! sometimes you gotta lay it all on the line. :D

i only race for thrills...and pride :)

I can see racing a good friend for something maybe, but c'mon some crazy kid, don't think so! It's more just for the rush and fun, not for assets.

you should have raced. if you lost its not like you would have to pull over and take off your wheels then give them to him. you could just drive off, he wouldnt give you anything if you won

You don't bet something and then not pay up. If I would've won and he tried taking off. He'd be in a lot of pain. There's no way someone ever fuks me over. It's the Sicilian in me, you owe me something, you're paying one way or another. It's just not worth getting into those kinds of situations if you can help it, ya know.

I have a similar story...I was on a road crusin home one night and this guy pulls up next to me in a very large truck...him and about 3 other guys...he goes "hey, bro, thats a sweet ride"....i said "yea it is. Thanks" and hes goes "what kinda engine you got"...i told him and i was confused in the process, but it was whatever...then he goes "wanna come to my garage foo....I have all kinds of engines and you can see my shit"....LOL..i sat there and lauged so hard...I just rolled away saying "thats ok man"....Kinda scared me. What does this jack off want with my car ya know? It was funny cause he was missing a few front teeth and he was being enthusiastic....I couldnt contain myself...
