Hi all

I'm planning a scratchbuild in 1/24 of this car, probably in the Prodrive color scheme.
Having Google-ed the web extensively, it appears that there is not a great deal of reference material available, particularly regarding the cockpit detail (nor even overall detail of the le Mans cars, particularly the GTS class winner of 2004).

Has anyone seen any sites with good "walk around" pictures?

Also, I saw a Revell 1:12 F40 at the local hobby store. Anyone have an opinion on the quality/accuracy of this kit?

Thanks
Graham

Hi,

before you do a tremendous job check this

http://www.scaleproduction.de/ --> Motorsport

there you find 2 transkits for this car.

Concerning the F40 I think it is a reissue of the Monogram-Kit

Just to correct this, It's Full Resin Kit, not transkit.

The revell car is , from what I ve seen of it, really crappy, proportionally wrong front, rear hatch fitment problems, not posable steering...

Don't get it ! even for the cheap price of it.

Hi Vric,

of course you are right, these a complete kits. The 355 offered by Scaleproduction is a transkit.

Gidday,
I have a friend who works as the chief mechanic for this car, which is the Coopers Ferrari 550 Maranello from Australia. It is a professionally built car although not 100% if it is a Prodrive version. This was the winning car so have a look at the photo and if you would like I could probably get some detailed in-car shots of the cockpit.

heres a link of the car in action:

If you want me to investigate some photos for you please let me know.

That's a very good looking car! The graphics are much more interesting than the ProDrive car.
If it's not too much trouble some pics (interior, underside of car and around rear diffuser, and front grille area, as well as external shots that give us some idea of bodywork changes like wheel arch extension) would be really appreciated.
