2004 Wrangler pulls to the left

I've got a 2004 4.0 Sport which has started to pull slightly to the left under normal highway driving. I've also noticed some slight wear on the outside edge of the front left tyre which is not replicated on the opposite wheel. I've had the alignment checked out on all four wheels and everything is in spec. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be causing this? I've spoke to the dealer but they keep telling me its an tracking problem and isnt covered by the warranty.

I'd check tire pressure first. A few pounds difference will give you a pull in either direction.

Also, when on the highway check the camber, or slope of the road you're on. If it slopes to the left your vehicle will want to go that way. Try driving awhile on a road that slopes to the right, and see if it pulls that way.

If after both of these it's still pulling, pull over after several minutes of driving, and feel the front wheel on both sides. If the left is noticeably warmer (or hot) compared to the right, then your caliper is sticking. In this case I'd have them replace the front caliper and brake shoes - definitely a warranty item.

If it is wearing on the edge of the tire then either the pressure is off or the alignment is out. If the tire pressure is ok and the alignment looks ok it could be a bad tire try rotating the tires and see if the pull lessens or disappears.

Yes; how many miles on the Jeep and have the tires been rotated? Every 5K miles or so does the trick.

If still not taken care of, go to another dealer to check the alignment, the first place's machine might be off.
