I have to ask one other thing, my buddy who I think is a dumb ass says that you can cut your springs to your car and it wont effect it and the drop will be fine. I told him he is a dumb ass but, he thinks he is right, am I wrong or is he right, I just want to know so tommrow I can let him see this lol.

If you cut the springs now you have a spring that is not coiled properly and will affect your ride quality as well as your ride height. You also risk blowing out your shocks if you don't replace them with something aftermarket to withstand the new pressure on your suspension created by lowering the car's center of gravity and to keep the car from rolling too much in turns now that you have half a spring to support the same OEM shock that was designed for a full spring.
Hope that helps clear it up. In short, get new lowering springs and shocks or some decent coilovers if you want it done correctly.

^^ What they said. I've seen it done in a pinch for shows, but guess what... 500 miles later the shocks blow right out from under him. Take your time, save up your money, and do it right. It will cost you less in the long run.
