I've had this problem for awhile now. The prob is the dome/interior lights stay on all the time. Sometimes if I shake the dome light it will turn off (the dome light only) the other two stay on. I thought maybe it was the switch for headlights/fog/parking/dimmer so I completely took the switch out and the lights still stay on. I found that the cig lighter is tied in with the interior lights. When I bought the car I noticed the cig lighter was disconnected, so dummy me reconnects it, and everything was fine for awhile then one day my battery was dead. Jumped it went to work came home, and later that night I was told my interior lights were still on. Tried to turn it off with no luck. I had to disconnect the battery. Well the next day I noticed the ground wire coming from the battery to the body was burnt so I made a new one, and still the same problem. I found that the orange wire going to the dome light has constant power. NOW I found that it blows the fuse. I replaced the fuse about a month ago, and it blew again the other day when I went to use the cig lighter. I've tried disconnecting the cig lighter with no luck. Of course I should probably leave it disconnected a few days and see what happens. Also I found awhile back that the two ecm fuses were blown. I replaced them turn the ignition on, and they blew again. A friend and I found that a BIG bundle of wires that lays on the driver side fender well has a short somewhere. How I found that was after we finally got the car running I moved those wires, and it died. So I took off the wire loom, and separated all the wires, installed new fuses and it started up, So I left it like that. I also found the orange wire in the bundle. Could that be the same wire going to the dome light? Cause it has constant power aswell? One last thing...The headlight indicator sound thingy (do not know what it's called). If you leave your headlights on after turning the car off makes a ding ding ding sound. Anyways that no longer works either. Any idea's as to where the prob might be?
