i just went yesterday to my gm dealer where i bought my sliverado about one ye ar ago, since that time i have been complaining about the goooooooood dawwwm jerking when you stop and go. I believe it was the second day that the forman at this dealership, and after several visits final changed the yoke. this was at around 64000 kilometers. i wasn't aware until recently that gm came out with a nickel plated yoke, which is supposed to be more slippery. this tsb came out on or around sept 2004, yet the foreman at the dealership changed my yoke in feb 2004..... now after over 20000 kilometre of booming and banging.... i found out this new yoke so i went to the dealership to talk to MR. FORMAN.....and asked him about the this new part, ( I was also armed with several posts I picked up of the internet, part numbers and even the actual tsb i picked up from a different dealership) right of the bat, he started telling me that he changed my yoke to the nickel plated one at 64000 kilometers and back in feb 2004....and if i remember well it started jerking again after 2 weeks.....now i asked him to see the proof and since there should be a 1 year warranty on this piece i wanted a new one..... he started making up bull s*** up yet i did not give up..... any ways after several hours spent i finally took this 'nickel plated yoke HOME... and told them i would have someone esle install it for me.....i don't trust them at all.... i think they did not give me a nickel plated yoke and rather on odd ball one.... does anyone know how it looks like? or what is written on it? they wrote on there invoice that there cost is 495.00 canadian and i went to a diffenent dealership and they said it costs 518.00 am i being screwed around with? can anyone help?
