Stuck in 4WD!!!!

We Own a 1997 Chevy Blazer LT. Last night I put it in 4Hi because of snow. This morning it would not come out of 4WD. What should I check first?

Pull the negative battery cable for 10 minutes to reset the computer.

Should fix it.

Also, you should get oyur transfer case serviced with new fluid.

I have the same problem sometimes. Even though it should switch back to 2 HI when you put in Nuetral, I sometimes actually have to stop and put it in Park to go back to 2 HI.

Check your vacuum lines.

I find any 4 wheel drive hard to shift in and out if the driveline is binding. What I do is drive with the wheels straight for a few feet and put in neutral. Some times a miniscual movement of vehicle helps as well.
