Sudden Loss of Power

I have a 2000 Contour 4cyl DOHC VTC that had a sudden loss of power. It starts and idles perfect. Driving at low speeds is also OK. If I try to go fast or uphill it completly chokes. About 3-4 months the fuel pump went out and had to be replaced. Today I R/R it again thinking it was the problem but still no power. Fuel filter is also fine.

I read somewhere on this forum that the MAFsensor goes out. Do you guys think this could be the problem? How do I test/clean it?

Thanks,
Daniel

Timing belt slipped over a notch. No I have to have it replaced and figure out why it got loose..

Is the timing belt on the zetec rubber or a chain?
