Buick now has more problems than me!

...I have been saving this list of problems to make the whole darn thing worthwhile. Here it is for my 2001, PA Ultra, 49,000 miles.
1. A whirling/whining noise from right-rear wheel well area -car is parked in my garage with engine off and keys in or out of ignition. Noise last's for about 10 minutes.

2. Message display: "Tire pressure low" - they are not -where are the sensor(s) etc for this gizmo?

3. I get 13 mpg around town. I do use premium gas - 13 mpg is LOW. Or is it?

4. Trunk lid light stays on -because trunk is sending signal to dash that says "trunk lid open" - I checked all around the trunk switch/latch area -all "looks" well.

5. Drivers seat has given up supporting my body (230 lbs) - seat is all worn out - how can this be fixed -by me -how?

Any help given is much appreciated. Thanks.

1. The whirling noise may be coming from the power antenna mounted in the fender well. You can access it by removing the liner in the trunk.
2. Some notes on your false Tire pressure low problem: This feature may relate to any traction control light or ABS problem also coming on periodically. Each wheel has sensors on them to detect rotational speed. Slipping or spinning wheels activate those systems. Under/over inflated tires will rotate at different speeds fooling the system. Also, if you have tires with mismatched sizes, this too will falsely cause problems. If non of these reasons apply, check the wiring at the wheel sensors for them all being connected.
3. 13 MPG sounds a bit low (17 city is normal), but then it may be your driving habits. The PA ultra has a supercharger which gives you that great acceleration, but sucks gas in doing so. If the check engine light is also on, it's more likely that problem is causing the low mpg.

Thanks Yogi! I searched again, on this forum, for any answers - and did manage to reset my tire pressure warning. One done - 2 to go.

i know I'm new here, BUT, low tire pressure causes pulling and excess drag, both of which lead to more steering imput and increased engine load which in turn results in poor fuel mileage.

Have you checked the tire pressures and verified they are correct?
