Another "burnt rubber smell" problem

As I turn my steering wheel to the left, I'm getting a strong burnt rubber smell. I haven't had any work done on my 98' Taurus lately, so it cant' be spilled oil on the engine...power steering pump, CV joint, or what?

Ever opened the hood, watched under the hood while someone was turning the wheel? Might give you a clue.
