Entering Radio Code

My Battery went dead on my 01 Eclipse and I need to enter the Radio code. I got the code from the dealer were I got the car, but since it wasn't a Mitsu dealer, he didn't know how to enter the code. Any help on the exact way to enter the code would be great.

I found some where to enter the code and then hit the CD button. I tried this and still got the error message. I don't know if I have to disconnect the battery or what. I would love to bypass the entire system to get my radio to work

buy a new radio. that will solve the problem

can't remember it all now, but it has to do with the anti-theft thing. Mine was doing that, when I got it cause the battery died. If you punch in an incorrect code 3 times or more it will like lock up or something. Which mine did and I had to take it in to a mitsu dealership and pay $40 for them to recode it and reprogram it and give me the new code.

yea, the sterios in those eclipses' are so priceless, they had to make them impossible to reuse if stolen. All you need to do is use the arrow keys to change the numbers around, and then you push the am/fm button when you have your code and it should be fine. But make sure you have the right code before you do anything cause forty dollars for that to be fixed is f-ing ridiculous. That is why I hate the mitsu dealers. they charge an arm and a leg to fix the stupidest thing. i.e. they charged me 43 dollars plus 20, to find out that the radiator cap was losing pressure. bastards

Thanks for all the help. I may be stuck going to the dealer. I thought I entered the right code, but it came up with an error. I am gald they came up with the Anti-theft system to make more money. If someone is stealing the stock radio out of my car, they are not looking for a great radio.

if you input the code 3 times and it locks you out, just disconnect the battery again. you will start over
